It’s wisdom not knowledge that philosophers seek
Folks who think philosophy is hot wind might not be asking the right questions.
I am an asker of questions, but those who don’t like questioning might think I’m an ass. I did not study philosophy, but I often operate in “philosopher mode”. When communicating, I get “deep” and “heavy” a lot. I’m not so keen on talking about people or events. I prefer marathon conversations about ideas or concepts. I like examining an idea from as many different angles as I can. Speculating or hypothesizing is my jam, and I think in analogies and metaphors. I have a hard time with purely fact-based, left-brain communication because I’m not that interested in non-abstract topics. Example: “And then Julie arrived at specific restaurant at specific time, and ordered specific dish, and saw this specific person who told her about the details about a specific business meeting. Now I’m gonna talk more about irrelevant details about specific meeting”. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
